Boudoir photography is becoming particularly popular today. Brides often have an album of boudoir style photographs made as a present for their soon to be husbands. Other common themes for boudoir photography are anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, weight loss, maternity, or any form of body change or alteration.
This particular German project was aimed at creating a chocolate box effect. The inspiration was from Helmuth Newton and Ellen Von Unwerth.
Philipp Strafehl was the photographer and Melinda-Jayne edited the photographs, as well as set, make-up and costume design.
Ellen Von Unwerth is one of the world's most successful fashion photographers. Unwerth's photography revels in decadence, joie de vivre,
romance and femininity. Her subjects are never objectified. Some of her work suggests that we could have stumbled into a secret world. These
particular pictures have an influence from her work. Ellen Von Unwerth switches effortlesly between black and white and colour photography.
